Terra developed artful stormwater concepts and helped Gardens staff submit for this state-wide sustainability-minded grant. In September 2014, we learned that the Gardens would be awarded an $850,000 matching grant from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for the design and construction of a 200-space green parking lot and terraced rain garden land art exhibit, called Radiating Waves. During a recent visit to the campus, Terra presented Design Development drawings, and will be collaborating with Sheppard Morgan Schwaab Engineers, Randy Burkett Lighting Design, Inc. and BRiC, Inc. on the further development of the project.
