Commissions
Our commission list is varied; our focus is specialized. We have led planning projects that encompass hundreds of acres and have designed boutique pocket gardens of hundreds of square feet. Our regional and national client list includes not-for-profit institutions, universities and colleges, elementary schools, and public parks. We have assembled and led customized turnkey teams of professionals, and we have joined other design teams as valued participants.
The common thread to Terra’s commission story is just that – the story. No matter the location or the purpose of a project, we strive to infuse the story of its landscape into our work. Examples of star storytellers include native plants, animals, geology and hydrology; artful and dynamic rainwater capture and green infrastructure; and art - earth art, industrial artifacts, commissioned art and local artisan installations. By keeping true to the language of the land, we create landscapes that remain time-honored and inspire generations to come.
