Ellen Biegert joined the staff of Terra Design Studios as a landscape designer in 2014, bringing with her skills in park and trail master plans and innovative storm water management designs. Several of Ellen’s projects focused upon green infrastructure as an artistic feature in the landscape. She also brings hands-on public garden and native plant experience, earned during her time as a gardener at Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, Delaware and the Ambler Arboretum at Temple University.
Ms. Biegert graduated from Temple University College of Environmental Design with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a focus in Fine Art. While attending school, Ellen contributed to the design and construction of the ‘Aloha ‘aina’ display for the 2012 Philadelphia Flower Show. This Hawaii-themed display included entirely native plants, an eighteen-foot high mountain water feature, and won Best in Show in the Academic Education category.
Away from the studio, Ellen likes to spend time outside. She has rafted down the Salmon and Snake Rivers in Idaho, and she enjoys hiking, running, and boxing. When not involved in active recreation, she can be found drawing for pleasure or exploring her new hometown.
