Asian Bamboo Garden wins FNGLA landscape award!

June 2012 ~ Jacksonville, FL

Florida Nursery Growers & Landscape Association (FNGLA) awarded the Asian Bamboo Garden at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens with their 2012 Landscape Award for new public installations.  Rooted in the historic philosophies and aesthetics common to people across all Asian cultures, the Asian Bamboo Garden is an immersive forecourt for the future Asian animal exhibits at the zoo.  The Garden is home to 111 plant varieties, 29 of which are in the bamboo family.  Some of these will grow to be 70 feet tall!  Terra Design Studios prepared the garden master plan for the entire zoo, and went on to lead the design team for the Asian Bamboo Garden.
